This role assists the asset management team by receiving and unpacking tech-related equipment and supplies and ensuring IT hardware is ready for deployment. Responsibilities include supplying invoices from vendors, conducting weekly inventory counts, and delivering equipment to field technicians as needed. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain seamless IT operations while ensuring accurate records and efficient support in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. IT Logistics Assistant assists the set management team with coordinating equipment deliveries. receives and unpacks parcels, completes relevant documentation, and dispatches equipment and supplies. Work is performed under general supervision. Essential Functions + Pays close attention to the movement of stock to avoid losses. Receives and checks deliveries, ensuring the correct amount and type of equipment and supplies are delivered. Signs delivery notes upon receipt of shipments. Heeds notes about appropriate procedures for handling stock, particularly when fragile. Unpacks items and arranges these on shelves. Prepares technician's orders by gathering, loading, and delivering equipment. + Ensuresthe facility remains clean, sanitary, and well-organized. Report all breakages and spills. Offers assistance to other staff in the department when available. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Required Knowledge, Experience, And Training High school diploma and or equivalent, and prior experience as a logistics assistant. Level of Knowledge: Functional knowledge of shipping processes and metrics Abilities to: + handle and maneuver fragile equipment and supplies with ease + Strong communication, memorization, and teamwork skills + Outstanding organizational abilities + Capacity to perform duties diligently, particularly during stressful periods + to memorizes vast amounts of information + Display an attitude of cooperation and work harmoniously with all levels of City employees, the general public and other organizations + Communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance + Complete assignments in a timely fashion + Understand and comply with all rules, policies and regulations + Maintain prompt and regular attendance + Perform all essential and marginal functions as assigned by an authorized employee, supervisor and/or manager with or without a reasonable accommodation. Individuals must be capable of operating vehicles safely and have an acceptable driving record. Preferred Knowledge, Experience, And Training One year of experience in Logistics and or Asset Management. This position works: on-call during weekends 19-Hour Temporary All temporary part-time employees working less than an average of 19-hours per week are not currently eligible for benefits. 4-Month Temporary All 4-month temporary employees working an average of 40-hours per week will accrue personal leave which can be used during employment. 8-Month Seasonal In addition to accruing personal leave, anyone in an 8-month seasonal position working over an average of 30-hours per week is eligible for medical coverage. 9-Month Temporary In addition to personal leave accrual and medical coverage, a position that is classified as a 9-month temporary is eligible for PERSI retirement benefits.
