In the role of IT Manager, Enterprise Productivity Solutions, you will join a diverse, enterprise team that invests in your customized career growth and uses technology and data to positively impact people’s lives.
The Digital Experience & Innovation team within AbbVie’s Business Technology Solutions (BTS) Division is charged with deploying our next generation of productivity and experience enhancing information technology solutions.

As IT Manager, Enterprise Productivity Solutions, you will work closely with the BTS Director of Enterprise Productivity Solutions to enhance our AI-powered virtual assistant to measurably improve employee productivity for our 50,000+ employees worldwide. You will be working with numerous enterprise and functional business areas to define use cases, prioritize value, and design solutions to extend the capabilities of our AI-powered chat solution. This role provides the opportunity to work directly with leading AI technologies and learn about numerous business functions across our global, biopharma enterprise.
AbbVie’s Global Headquarters in Lake County, IL, is the location for this position. AbbVie offers a flexible, hybrid work option for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Requirements Delivery: You work with business units and IT clients to capture business processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Business Case Development: You evaluate technology solutions and seek strategic business opportunities with executives. Solution Alignment: You ensure the proposed solution fits business needs and communicate these needs to development groups. Business Value Delivery: You develop technology strategies that align with business requirements and quantify investment value. Stakeholder Management: You develop strong business relationships and lead meetings with key stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation. Change Management: You gather feedback from stakeholders and identify improvement opportunities for cost savings or productivity enhancements. Continuous Improvement: You analyze feedback and data to recommend product improvements and simplify work processes. Strong Ownership: You have authority over a significant area of work, define and prioritize objectives, and are accountable for decisions made by yourself and your team. Strong Leadership: You lead, influence and mentor others in a cross-functional environment.Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's Degree with 7 years’ experience; Master's Degree with 6 years’ experience; PhD with 2 years’ experience. Agile methodologies, scrum, and Kanban frameworks experience Business case development, value mapping, and user stories development in enterprise environment/systems Demonstrated experience in creating and executing data driven, risk-based test strategies Experience mapping current and future processes using digital tools Experience working in a complex, cross functional teams Demonstrated excellent analytic, judgment and consultative capabilities Strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work with both IT staff and business Demonstrates a genuine passion for enhancing user experienceBeneficial
Work experience in the pharmaceutical industry Knowledge & experience in AI-Systems and chatbots, co-pilots, AI agents Prior experience working with UX design teams & conversational design interfaces is a bonus Experience with data analysis and visualizations using tools such as Power BI and Spotfire Experience with data mapping, data trends using NLU Experience with structured data from systems such as ServiceNow, Unily, and Contentful Experience with AI ingestion and interpretation of unstructured data such files in PPT, PDF, and Word Experience with IT, HR, Finance, and Procurement enterprise systems
