Makes efficient use of available information technology and should be aware of trends in I/O technology to develop compatible systems. A key role for the incumbent is that of change agent related to the infrastructure and/or application components that affect IT customers worldwide. -Provider of communications to staff, helps manage technical training and staff development, assists in career development planning, including responsibility for motivating staff to meet objectives, formal evaluation of staff performance and is responsible for meeting group objectives. -It contributes to the improvement of system efficiency, costs and quality and works closely with IT Managers, other Supervisors, Business Managers, Division -Managers and customer management in selecting projects and keeping them informed about progress and key issues. It works closely with system architects to explore alternatives and contributes to the evolution of the system. assumes the role of Project Sponsor for one or more 6 Sigma projects. -Provides information for personnel decisions, advises staff, and can serve on special projects and committees. Participates in the process of setting objectives and business planning and assists in the containment and improvement of costs, efficient use of resources and customer satisfaction.
