Primary Description:

The IT Manager will provide leadership and direction to a technical team at our Tupelo plant for both software development and infrastructure / networking efforts in support of the plant.  Specifically, you will be responsible for the functional area of technology, delivering superior customer service and execution of the department's objectives by supporting  projects and delivering results. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Successfully provide leadership to the team for technical operations and activities in order to meet department objectivities and consumer needs Plan, coordinate, schedule assignments and projects with your team and participate in establishing project plans.  Prioritize project plans based on business needs and availability of resources. Monitor project development and communicate project progression frequently to the management, staff and customers. Perform managerial activities.  Determine specific resources and skills required for on-going activities and provide leadership to staff all projects within area of responsibility.

 

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Business or in lieu of degree 11 years of IT experience 6 or more years of Technical experience in a variety of IT disciplines gaining a conceptual knowledge of Information Technologies and methodologies

 

Desired skills and abilities

Advanced knowledge of IT field and in-depth knowledge and technical expertise of one specialty area. Good presentation skills, meeting leadership and facilities skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Have the necessary leadership, team building, motivation and delegation skills to efficiently coordinate the efforts of a team toward accomplishing a common goal
