The IT Manager (Business Relationship Manager (BRM)) is the single point of contact for all IT related business needs in the plant. This person works with a highly matrixed and global IT organization to deliver the business requirements.

ResponsibilitiesAccountable to the business for overall IT deliveryResponsible for Information Technology projects (from conception to completion), for a broad range of Information Technology initiatives, for setting priorities and delivering quality solutions to support BorgWarner’s businessProvides project management and information technology expertise for application software projects and system support; also providing ongoing maintenance and support of existing business systemsEstablishes and maintains positive business and IT relationships, to ensure alignment with business priorities and business alignment with IT standards  Applies technical and relationship skills to manage area of responsibilityManage expectations and communication with business stakeholdersProviding an approach to business/technology opportunities as well as a detailed, methodical approach to system changesMake recommendations with financial impact in mindImplement process improvements, policies, and best practices.Manages local budget and cost effectiveness of their area of responsibilityResponsibilities include planning, scheduling, directing, and coordinating resources and activities to meet business requirements and project completion dates

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or other related technical degree; Master’s degree a plus3 plus years systems analysis experienceExperience in ERP (SAP), TeamCenter PLM, Microsoft/SharePoint knowledge and experience a plusSolid team and project management skills; PMP Certification preferredAbility to work with minimal supervisionAbility to prioritize multiple projects, work under tight deadlines, and handle changing prioritiesAbility to work in a global, matrixed organizationAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others (shop floor, department managers, plant managers, and VIPs); work harmoniously and effectively as part of a global teamAbility to provide IT solutions that meet the business needs while staying within budget and often rapid timelinesResults oriented with strong problem solving and analytical skills.Ability to get results by working through systems and relationshipsAbility to respond with a sense of urgency to meet deadlinesDetail orientedExcellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skillsAbility to understand complex business requirements and recommend solutionsAbility to understand and implement new technologyAbility and desire to solve complex issues/problemsUnderstanding/experience of database technologiesKnowledge and experience with IT controls and governance
