IT Manager
Description The primary role of the Internal IT Manager is to oversee and maintain all aspects of software and hardware infrastructure. This includes maintaining networks, servers, applications, security programs and systems. The Internal IT Manager will be responsible for the upgrade and installation of new hardware and software within the organization, performing and/or overseeing troubleshooting to address any problems with internal computer systems. You will assess potential cyber threats to the company’s network and systems, bringing to the attention of ownership improvements needed to company systems. The Internal IT Manager will continually evaluate either hardware or software to enhance company operations and productivity. You will manage both the internal help desk team and external resources for smooth daily operations. Essential Functions: • Oversees the management of all company information technology; including hardware standards and software applications used in the business. • Defines and creates an annual budget. Monitors costs, identifying any cost saving protocols. • Manages all company hardware and software maintenance agreements, performs timely upgrades accordingly to ensure optimal performance and monitors enhancements that support streamlined business operations. • Provides and oversees the on-premises/remote troubleshooting of company hardware/software (servers, switches, laptops, custom software applications, etc.) • Manages all custom software integration with identified systems/applications as used within the organization to facilitate business operations. • Manages all cloud services, connections, and integrations (Azure AD/AWS/Backups). • Defines and develops an asset management program, securing and tracking hardware throughout the organization. • Oversees the onboarding/offboarding of employees. Ensures hardware is acquired and software access is setup along with any appropriate training is facilitated. • Identifies, establishes, and implements cyber security protocols and best practice solutions for the organization. Performs IT security audits on a regular basis. • Manages employee remote connectivity and VPN connections. • Implements and administers IT policy and procedures as related to network hardware and software acquisition, use, support, security, and backup. • Develops, secures, and maintains IT vendor relationships. Ensures that organization has a robust portfolio to provide or enhance company operations for either internal or external customers. • Leads their employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment. • Writes and administers performance reviews to grow and develop teams. Ensures that reviews are written timely and accurately and recorded in company HRIS system. Meets with subordinates to review their performance on a regular basis, defining and explaining management’s expectations clearly to employees. • Defines, documents, and communicates policy and procedure standards to maximize resources, improve customer service and improve overall operational profitability. • Performs other related duties as assigned by management Skills Project management, infrastructure management, Networking, Systems Engineering Top Skills Details Project management,infrastructure management,Networking,Systems Engineering Additional Skills & Qualifications • 10+ years hands on experience with computer systems network administration and installation • 5+ years proven experience in an IT supervisory/management role or relevant experience • IT security principles, procedures and best practices • MDM administration • High school diploma (or equivalent) • Valid California Driver License and proof of auto insurance. • Ability to drive for 2+ hours in a work shift/day, daily. • Ability to walk, bend, stoop, hear, and speak, daily. • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, under all temperature variations. • Work environment may be construction sites, commercial buildings, and multi-tenant properties. • Move/Transport items weighing 50 pounds, occasionally • Ability to make repetitive movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers, daily • Stand or sit for long periods (4+ hours), daily • Work is performed in an office environment Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $115000.00/yr. ligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
