Job Summary:
The IT Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring the seamless functionality of Goodwill’s IT infrastructure, systems, and services. This role involves managing a team of IT Technicians, delivering technical support to internal customers, and collaborating with the IT Director to execute strategic IT initiatives that align with the organization’s overall objectives.
A key focus of the role will be fostering the professional development of IT department staff, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles. The IT Manager will work closely with other departments to enhance employees' comfort and proficiency with IT systems and processes, contributing to improved organizational efficiency and user satisfaction.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining robust cybersecurity practices, monitoring IT performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and technical expertise, exceptional project management skills, and an in-depth understanding of both hardware and software systems. Reporting directly to the IT Director, the IT Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the IT department's contributions to organizational success while driving a culture of continuous learning and technological confidence.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
Experience
Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and infrastructure (Windows, Mac, Linux, Cloud platforms, etc.).
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
2-4 years leadership experience preferred
4-6 years IT work experience required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities.
Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration
IT Certifications are a plus

Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT professionals, ensuring efficient execution of tasks and fostering professional growth.Oversee the day-to-day performance of the IT team and provide direction on IT operations and project priorities.Conduct regular performance reviews, offer coaching, and provide troubleshooting and problem-resolution guidance.
IT Operations Management:
Monitor and manage the health and security of IT systems, networks, and infrastructure.Oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of software and hardware systems.Ensure timely response and resolution of IT service requests, incidents, and problems.
Project Management:
Plan, organize, and oversee the execution of IT projects, ensuring on-time delivery within scope and budget.Work closely with the IT Director to define project goals, resource needs, and timelines.Collaborate with other departments to understand IT requirements and ensure alignment with business needs.
System and Network Administration:
Support the maintenance, optimization, and security of local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), servers, and cloud-based platforms.Coordinate regular updates, patches, and upgrades for all IT systems to maintain security and functionality.Implement and enforce data security protocols to protect company information and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive records and documentation for IT systems, network configurations, and software licenses.Provide regular reports on IT performance, incidents, and project status to the IT Director and senior leadership.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay current with the latest IT trends, technologies, and best practices.Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT operations.100
