As an IT Network Security Specialist you will be responsible for safeguarding our computer networks and systems. We are looking for a dedicated individual with a strategic and analytical mindset to enhance our network security measures. You will play a critical role in managing our network security defenses, monitoring security access, and implementing network security policies and procedures.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain security measures and controls to protect digital files and vital electronic infrastructureMonitor network traffic for unusual activity and respond to security breaches or intrusion attempts in a timely mannerConduct regular system tests and ensure continuous monitoring of network securityCollaborate with other team members to optimize security of network communications and systemsProvide training and technical support to colleagues on network security procedures and issuesRecommend security enhancements and purchases to managementPrepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols

 

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in network security or a related fieldProficient understanding of network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and associated network protocols and conceptsStrong knowledge of different operating systems, especially UNIX/Linux and Windows, and network security protocolsHands-on experience with network security tools such as IDS/IPS, Anomaly detection, Firewall, Content Filtering, Network Monitoring Tools, etcAbility to analyze security systems and seek improvements on a continuous basisExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to think through the security implications of routine business decisionsStrong interpersonal and communication skills

 

Certifications (preferred, but not mandatory):

Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNP Security)VMWare NSXPalo Alto PCNSE
