Position SummaryUnder the general direction of the IT leadership maintains LAN, connectivity to WAN, performs tier 2 and 3 level IT support (Desktops, Connectivity, Servers, Troubleshooting IT issues, end user support), Project coordination and team mentorship related to technology and job function. Additionally, will act as a contact point to IT issue resolution and escalation. Evaluates processes, procedures, and technologies.
Essential Responsibilities Utilizes software and hardware tools, identifies, and diagnoses complex problems and factors affecting IT performance.Ongoing support of applications that exploit the capability of our infrastructure to simplify processes, eliminate manual effort and improve the timeliness, accuracy, and value of information.Performs trouble shooting and coordinates problem resolution with EI and software vendors. Interfaces with vendors and other external service suppliers in order to research feasibility, prototype new applications and /or coordinate project development activities.Coordinates the purchase/upgrade and installation of IT equipmentMaintains working knowledge of supported software and provides application and technical support to end-users.Develops and maintains strong relationships with management to assist them in technical issue resolution.Stays abreast of emerging technologies and developments. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university in Business Administration or Computer Science; or in leu of degree three to four years of professional IT experience. Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT support functions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Optional – any Microsoft certifications.
