TITLE: IT Personnel Coordinator

STATUS: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
SALARY: $30 - $32 hourly

MAJOR FUNCTION:
Supports the staff and supervisors of the IT Department to help IT have consistency of training, staff
management, accountability, and pay across the department. Liaise with Territorial Human Resources
Department in the day-to day human resources responsibilities and needs of the IT Department, including
recruiting, onboarding, and document processing for IT staff positions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Personnel Support (60%)
• Work closely with Territorial Human Resources (THR) on tasks such as recruiting, onboarding, and
handling paperwork for IT positions.
• Send 90-day and annual review reminders.
• Track IT staff goals and provide timely reminders to help staff meet goals.
• Support IT supervisors with staff development by reviewing, organizing and tracking training programs,
certifications, and other educational opportunities for each of their subordinates.
• Assist in pay-related inquiries, research market wage fluctuations for IT positions to help consistency in
salary structures.
• Facilitate communication between IT staff and THR to address operational and human resourcesrelated
concerns.
• Coordinate with IT leadership to facilitate department procedures regarding staff disciplinary
management and performance evaluations.
Recruitment and Onboarding (25%)
• Assist in the creation, updating, and maintenance of job descriptions for IT staff.
• Coordinate job postings, review candidates, take notes at interviews, conduct reference checks.
• Facilitate proper documentation for work-from-home, telecommuting, and voluntary hybrid work
agreements.
• Coordinate communication allowance agreements for IT employees.

Builds & Maintains Business Relationships (15%)
• Collaborates with THR and other departments to ensure seamless integration of Human Resources
practices within the IT department.
• Maintains professional relationships with IT training institutions, certification testing providers, and other
education offerings to stay updated on the latest industry trends and opportunities.
• Maintains professional relationships with temp and contract placement providers.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Knowledge of Human Resources processes, including recruitment, onboarding, background checks,
and Human Resources documentation.
• Knowledge of IT staff development, certifications, and industry-specific training opportunities.
• Skill in managing multiple projects simultaneously and tracking employee goals, certifications, and
compliance.
• Skill in written and verbal communication, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical
and non-technical staff.
• Ability to collaborate with Human Resources professionals and department leaders to ensure staff
needs are met.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive Human Resources information with discretion.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
• Two years of experience in Human Resources.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• PHR or SHRM certification preferred.
