IT PMO Portfolio and Resource Planner

Location: Manchester / Dartford UK based but global scope

Are you a PMO professional who can take a pro-active approach in seeking and driving forward key activities that underpin successful delivery in IT?

Can you work with Project Managers to ensure pipeline, live project planning and resource data is up to date and relevant? Utilise your ability to review project status reports and prepare monthly project reviews. Can you help to resolve issues like date changes?. Can you collate and input into regular and ad-hoc reports using ServiceNow and Excel? Then this is the role for you

The role assists the portfolio team members in managing and reporting in Global IT Projects via SPM and PPM.  This will also include training on the project process and SPM/PPM systems for new starters.

Other Duties include:

Support the portfolio team in moving away from excel resource planning and the adoption of ServiceNow tools. Work with project stakeholders to ensure accurate planning and resource data. Work with demand and project managers to ensure benefits data is accurate and relevant. Undertake project closure reviews and adopt a continuous improvement approach to lessons learned.

Essential skills required:

ServiceNow, Office 365 i.e Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote, Confluence Project management qualifications Beneficial but not required, Prince 2, Agile, P3O, PMP or equivalent qualification

Desired experience

An understanding or working history within a project management environment. Hands-on experienced in working with demand and project managers to plan a portfolio of projects, and support resolution of issues. An understanding of project change control and the importance of maintaining a project baseline. An understanding of portfolio benefits planning and reporting A basic understanding of the functions within IT would be desirable. Experience of successfully managing multiple stakeholders with conflicting demands and priorities.
