IT Print Engineer with German

Job role

The IT Print Engineer for Print Services is responsible for supporting the Product Owner and the technical team in handling all printer-related services and topics, both in Germany and internationally, as part of the Global Print Service.

 

What you will do

3rd Level incident management for Print Service also in cooperation with other incident teams for virtual and physical clients, as well as server and network teams Administration, maintenance, optimization and migration of a large and global printing infrastructure including third party solutions and tools Managing a large fleet of printing devices Writing / reviewing of knowledge database entries for 1st and 2nd level teams Proposing improvements to existing tooling and automation to the service leadership Proactive task execution to ensure stability of infrastructure and device landscape, such certificate updates on devices Coordination of internal/external partners to ensure service quality and state-of-the-art technology Assist the Product Owner and Service Manager with documenting operational processes Contribute to continuous service improvement Manage, analyse, and optimize processes, together with the rest of the print team and contribute to the improvement of the solutions we provide Act as a point of contact for customer requests and questions Contribute to knowledge management for the Service Desk & service recipients Assist the PO and SM with providing management information/presentations concerning the technical infrastructure Assist the PO with the operational side of managing the print service

 

What you bring

Qualification or corresponding professional experience in IT (5+ years in global projects) Advanced Windows Client and Server knowledge (Windows Server, Print Queues, Windows troubleshooting, Server/Client Architecture, Event Viewer, Registries, Command Prompt/PowerShell) Intermediate knowledge of scripting with CMD/Powershell, OS built-in tools, etc. Advanced Networking and Active Directory knowledge (DHCP, DNS, IPs, Firewalls, encryption, how AD functions in general, Certificates, LDAP, EntraID, etc.) Intermediate knowledge of standard print architectures and basic vocabulary (queues, A3/A4, duplex, counters, scan2mail, secure printing) Intermediate knowledge of Cloud-based services, including Microsoft Azure Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Advanced experience in IT and troubleshooting complex issues Skills and competencies (functional, technical, methodical, social competencies) In-depth knowledge / experience in ITIL processes and tools Experience with international projects or (offshore) cooperation Proficiency in Office 365 and SM tools Commitment and flexibility, assertiveness, initiative, personal responsibility, persuasiveness and negotiation skills, goal- and team-oriented  Agile qualifications or familiarity are a plus  Sysadmin experience is a plus

Conversational level required for German and English. Reliable with high level of accuracy Team player and ability to work under pressure with a high degree of self-organization and initiative Proactive mindset, who takes initiative and effectively manages their responsibilities independently Good communication and relationship building skills ITIL certification is a plus Any AGILE certification is a plus Any technical certification is a plus
