IT Production Technician

The Team is expected to grow and is looking for people who can apply disciplined processes and provide imaginative solutions that enable the adoption of innovation and emerging technologies that create opportunities for transformative change. **Responsibilities:** The duties and responsibilities of the **IT Production Technician** include, but are not limited to, the following: • Contribute at a mid-level with expertise in local and wide area networking, communications, and related software/hardware in a multi-platform environment • Responsible for the installation, setup, and configuration of computer hardware, software, and network systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal functionality across all components • Provide comprehensive support for MS Windows desktops, including troubleshooting technical issues and assisting with peripheral devices to maintain smooth system performance • Analyze and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems, implementing effective solutions to restore system functionality and improve overall performance • Perform the process of terminating network cables, ensuring proper connections and compliance with industry standards for optimal network functionality • Regularly update and maintain detailed technical documentation and manuals, ensuring they accurately reflect system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting protocols • Continuously monitor and manage computer systems and networks, performing regular checks and maintenance to uphold optimal performance, identify potential issues, and ensure the smooth operation of all components • Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, continuously expanding knowledge and adapting to the latest advancements to maintain expertise and drive innovation \#onejavalin #LoneWolf **Requirements:** • Must have active Top-Secret clearance with SCI or TS with the ability to acquire SCI. • 5+ years of prior IT Production related experience. • Strong knowledge of the networking OSI Model, specifically Layer 1 (Physical) and Layer 2 (Data Link) • Comprehensive knowledge of various cabling types, their specifications, and the requirements for their effective implementation in network infrastructures • Must be able to work a 40-hour work week, normally Monday through Friday • Ability to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime if needed • Ability to travel (5-10%) primarily within 75 miles • Familiarity with MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Project and Visio • Exceptional attention to detail; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong critical thinking, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment **Clearance Required:** Must have active Top-Secret clearance with SCI or TS with the ability to acquire SCI **Minimum Education:** High School Diploma **Minimum Years of Experience:** 5 years of relevant experience **Required Certifications:** Ability to meet or exceed DODD 8140/8570 IAT Level 2 Requirements, to include CE certification **Preferred:** Bachelor’s degree in IT related field
