Incumbents may perform duties in one or more IT specialization areas depending on the needs of the agency. Incumbents perform journey level duties and may serve as a lead worker to lower level IT staff as assigned. The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is undertaking a multi-year comprehensive transformation of its systems, environment, and business structure. DMV is prioritizing a complete transformation of its service offerings, focusing on a new business model centered around an online strategy wherever feasible. This customer-centric approach will serve as the guiding principle for all initiatives. The implementation of this new solution is currently underway, with collaboration from Salesforce, MuleSoft, Amazon Web Services, and Slalom in a multi-year effort to transition to a cloud-based architecture, delivering incremental functionality. This position will directly support this initiative. This position will join the Salesforce Development Team working with a technical lead to support, enhance, configure and perform custom development to achieve desired user design experience and functionality. Expected work output includes; translate business requirements and user stories into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform and web development practices, participate in technical design of Salesforce Experience Cloud features, maintain and update technical solution documentation, develop, test, and document work for integrations and data elements, follow coding standards and participate in code reviews during projects to ensure appropriate design patterns are followed, continuous learning of new technical and product capabilities from Salesforce, inclusive of keeping apprised of updates in each release as well as industry best practices with web development, participate in Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, and Sprint Demos. The desired candidate has; understanding of the Salesforce product suite including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and AppExchange Solutions, have working knowledge of Agile software delivery methodologies and tools, such Confluence and Jira, excellent analytical and communication skills required to effectively work in the field of applications development and maintenance, excellent interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
