Salary: $3,500.00 - $4,000.00 per month commensurate with experience. Job Description Summary: The IT Professional I, as a member of the IT Operations & Support department, under the direction of the Assistant Director, will have responsibility for working with multiple work stream leads and analyst to support an enterprise-wide Human Capital Management (HCM) system, as well as assist with the payroll initiation, calculation, completion and settlement for all Texas A&M University System (TAMUS) entities. Responsibilities: - Assist payroll operations for TAMUS collaboratively with the Workday Payroll team and the member payroll offices.- Assist with the development and maintenance of annual payroll production schedules and related pay period documents.- Monitor and troubleshoot Integrations.- Assist with the Change Management process for ITSS, including Workday Services weekly releases and the Bi-annual Workday releases.- Coordinate and collaborate across work streams, departments and with external vendors as needed. Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely manner.- Respond to and resolve second-tier customer service tickets in a timely manner; identify problems and escalate issues as needed.- Focus on continuous improvement of the operations team and identification of processes that can be automated.- Participate in training and professional development sessions.- Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience:- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.- Four months experience in Information Technology. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:- Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. - Knowledge of troubleshooting and problem-solving, client relations skills, and requirement assessment and analysis. - Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment. - Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. - Must have strong interpersonal skills. - Occasional travel and work outside scheduled hours. Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Education: Degree in Technology or Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or Information Technology. Preferred Experience: One or more years of recent experience providing IT support at a higher education institution.
