IT Program Manager
Work Flexibility: Hybrid

The IT Product Manager will support IT initiatives primarily in the Stryker EELC (Europe, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa, LatAm, and Canada) regions and may encompass Commercial, GQO, Corporate Functions, and/or Infrastructure projects and programs.  The candidate must become knowledgeable of, and adhere to, all Stryker IT PMO/PM standards, processes, and toolsets.

We are targeting candidates who can build and leverage successful working relationships with internal and external personnel to drive results in support of Stryker’s businesses, are influential team leaders without direct authority, and can exercise good judgment and weigh benefits and risks to make solid decisions despite potential ambiguity. 

What you will do:

Collaborate with business unit or regional EELC leadership to define, manage and own program/project scope. Create and manage to a detailed Work Breakdown Structure and activity structure.Own the program/project schedule. Develop and manage the detailed Gantt chart.  Analyze and address critical path, major workstreams, and intersecting milestones and drive accountability to individual activity owners. Create program budget with cross-functional managers and directors. Monitor, optimize, and maintain costs within budget. Drive project cost efficiencies. Continually update and maintain an accurate project/program forecast in PPM tools.Partner with project teams to create program Quality Plans using a multitude of quality planning tools and techniques. Monitor and maintain plans.Develop a risk management plan for the program. Identify, analyze, and understand project risks, develop and monitor a risk response plan. Create, update and manage a RAID log for each initiative. Mentor others in risk management practices.Develop a Procurement Management Plan and be a strategic partner in the selection and ongoing management of strategic partners.Estimate, acquire and assign cross functional project/program resources.   Define the role, responsibility, and deliverables for each team member through a RACI.  Provide direct feedback to functional manager on performance reviews. Coach and mentor team members.  Recruit and onboard staff; participate on hiring teams for cross-functional groups. Develop a Stakeholder engagement plan for the program, based on the identification, analysis and understanding of stakeholder expectations and requirements.Develop and execute a communications management plan for program team, key stakeholders, and business leaders, including facilitating steering committees and providing concise, regular status reporting and executive summariesIncorporate end-user feedback to refine scope through the project lifecycle and communicate changes, updates, and decisions to key stakeholders.Drive results in support of the business, even in the face of demanding timelines. Step up to take on additional responsibility where appropriate.Build successful working relationships with internal and external stakeholders representing different functions and departments.


What you need:

Required:

BS or equivalent (MS and/or MBA preferred)8+ years of work experience in program/project management fundamentals, including scope definition and management, financial / budget management, scheduling, resource allocation, vendor management, team leadership, and creative problem-solving.Leadership of direct or indirect (project/program) teams experience.Understanding of risk & change management, quality system(s).Adept at team management - selects the right people to the right tasks all while maintaining team morale and recognizing contributions.
