Visit www.cdc.gov Responsibilities As a IT Program Manager (Policy and Planning) you will: Senior expert and consultant to GHC executive level management on national and international information technology (IT), information systems, IT infrastructure, an IT security program activities. Provide advice to GHC executive level management on significant information and technology issues and problems. Identify needs and provides advice concerning identification of critical data and systems, and the resources required to meet objectives. Provide oversight in the implementation of information security policy, guidelines, and procedures for systems which are typically accessed by a large and geographically dispersed user community and which process multiple applications requiring differing security controls. Ensure compatibility of all Center systems and services with all CDC locations and remote work sites. Perform administrative and personnel management functions over the staff. Requirements Conditions of Employment Due to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC's) process enhancement to use Shared Certificates throughout the Agency, some of the requirements below may differ: US Citizenship is required. This position has 20% supervisory duties, candidates must also have demonstrated or shown the potential to develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. At management's discretion, may be extended for an additional year without further competition. Qualifications All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. Minimum Qualifications: To qualify at the GS-15 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level, which must include the following experience: advise the Center Director of GHC on the development, support, standardization and integration of public health information and surveillance systems and on the application of information technology to the collection, management, and analysis of public health data. AND have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies: Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
