What will you do?

The core purpose of the IT Project Manager role is to manage the end-to-end delivery of internal global technology projects within Aurecon. The role is responsible for mitigating delivery risk to the organization through ensuring that the solutions we implement meet expected business outcomes, are fit for purpose, future-proofed and are ready to be supported.

This role may deliver one single project or be responsible for managing multiple projects concurrently.

Key Responsibilities

The main duties and responsibilities of an IT Project Manager includes the following (but not limited to):

With 7+ years Project Management experienceHave strong stakeholder management skill, have worked within the organization and not just from the vendor side.Have agile experience, along with experience with typical PRINCE2 governance.Have experience with managing software implementations.Have experience in Software standardization and renewals process.Experience with Autodesk and Bentley products will be desirable.Have experience working with commercial & procurement teams.Delivering projects according to a structured framework/methodologyApplying project governance and controls across each initiative – ensuring that project stage gates are adhered to, and signoffs received for core deliverables.Planning and coordinating global project resources and managing these individuals as a virtual team.Managing project interdependencies and clearly escalating where there are issues/roadblocks preventing successful delivery.Report progress and issues to stakeholders, including Steering Committee.Delivering projects to scope, quality, schedule, and budget.

What can you bring to the team?

bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, Business, or related field?Project Management Qualifications (Prince 2, PMBOK)7+ years as an IT Project Manager (solid PM experience)Experience leading enterprise level rollouts / deployments.Strong experience and exposure to Agile/Scrum frameworkVery strong stakeholder skills in dynamic environments.Experience leading Design Engineering software implementations and / deployments or Projects is desirable.Strong commercial acumen – experienced in negotiating and driving project outcomes through preferred suppliers/partners.Understanding of IT systems, how they relate and interact.Mentoring & coaching project team members – experience uplifting capability and quality of delivery/championing project management disciplinesAbility to lead dispersed and diverse technology teams to deliver continuous value for customers.Disciplined approach to planning, budgeting, execution, monitoring activities against plan and financial reconciliationAbility to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and drive stakeholders to deliver on committed outcomes.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and influencing skills.Proven ability to consult and facilitate discussions regarding alternative approaches and to broker consensus across stakeholder teams.Able to create effective team environments for people to innovate and learn.
