Posting Summary Rutgers University – Newark (RU-N), an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise is seeking an IT Project Manager. Reporting to the Associate Director of Innovation & Technology, the primary role of the ITPM is to plan, coordinate and track Information Technology project initiatives and to lead technical solution implementations.
The position responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:
Ensures cohesiveness between Rutgers-Newark Technology and Learning Spaces (TLS, Rutgers-Newark IT (RUN-IT), and other Rutgers-Newark campus stakeholders in technical solution design, technical implementation, and overall project delivery for infrastructure, system, and application initiatives across the campus Serves as primary client liaison and provides the “bridge” between client needs and technical solutions that support those needs Responsible for financial/budget management of some projects Applies best practices in project management and technical implementation in order to deliver value-added solutions in a cost-effective manner Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week Daily Work Shift Day Work Arrangement Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2024. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent, are subject to change or cancellation and contingent on the employee receiving approval in the FlexWork@RU Application System.
