Job Description

As IT Project Manager you will be working as part of a newly established IT PMO, the IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, execution and successful delivery of IT lead projects or sub-projects out by the wider Culina Group, in which an IT stream is required. PM shall lead projects, plan resources and govern those projects according to strict deadlines and within set and agreed budget, while adhering to the relevant PMO framework.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 09.00-17.00 (Hybrid working)

This role could be based from one of our Midlands sites with travel between sites are needed.  (Rugby, Lutterworth, Corby, Banbury or Milton Keynes.) 

Key Duties of IT Project Manager:

Facilitate the definition of the project scope, requirements and deliverables using Culina standard documentationDefine project tasks and resource requirements using Culina standard documentationManage the project budget in line with business expectations and budgetary commitmentsAssemble and lead a projects teamDevelop, control and communicate the project plan, timeline and milestonesTrack and report project deliverables to the project team and stakeholdersIdentify and manage inter-project dependencies and critical pathManage Risk, Issues and Changes on an ongoing basis - Highlighting appropriate risks to the PMODelivers progress reports, proposals and presentations as required by the PMO FrameworkEnsure that any deliverables requiring support in steady state are handed over to the relevant teamsEnsure that Legal and Procurement processes are followedClose the project, ensuring lessons learned are documentedFollow applicable policies, framework, standards and guidelines that have been identified for the particular projectProduce reports for key stakeholders as required by the PMO FrameworkResponsible for acquiring resources (internal and nominated 3rd party, if required) and coordinating the effort of the team members in order to deliver projects according to plan and budgetAssemble and co-ordinate project team (Business, IT and External)Negotiate with resource owners and as required, ensure that project targets are provided for project resourceIdentify Roles and Responsibilities for the project team; Where 3rd party contract negotiations are required, the Project Manager will work with the relevant procurement team to ensure that procedures are followedIdentify and agree participation of Project Sponsor and where required establish project steering groupsIdentify and liaise with Key Stakeholders to provide applicable governance for the projectRegularly monitor and report progress to all stakeholders and the steering groupBuild, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the projectQuickly gain confidence of the business and colleagues through good communication and influencing skills – acting as an advocate for the Project Management teamSupport and promote a culture which is genuinely inclusive and respectfulFoster collaboration through clear and inclusive communicationLead projects with integrity – act proactively & decisively when taking the lead on tough

QualificationsLogistics experience would be an advantage but not essential. Degree or relevant solid project management experienceBusiness and/or computing related apprenticeship/degreeProven experience in project, people management, project planning, requirements management, change management, supplier management, risk & issue managementProven experience in sponsor and stakeholder managementAbility to 'think out the box' and when under pressureExperience in reviewing strategy, understanding, and applying to project based workExcellent communicatorKnowledge of IT applicationsExperience in the successful implementation of complex projectsIdeally previous experience in Warehousing, Logistics, FMCGWillingness to travel as and where neededMaybe required to work outside of normal business hours
