About the Role:
As the Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of technically complex projects and programs. Your role will involve coordinating a variety of project activities, driving innovation, and ensuring that financial and risk management practices are in place.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead Project Delivery: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder expectations.
* Stakeholder Management: Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and executive leadership, to ensure smooth project execution.
* Team Leadership: Guide and mentor cross-functional teams, including Team Leads, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners, ensuring effective collaboration and high-quality delivery.
* Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and provide accurate financial reporting to ensure cost efficiency and resource optimization.
* Risk and Quality Management: Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and uphold technical best practices to ensure the quality of deliverables.
* Continuous Innovation: Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, leveraging your knowledge to drive innovation and process improvement within the organization.
What You'll Need:
* Experience: At least 5 years of experience in Project Management or Program Management, preferably in the Lloyd's of London insurance sector.
* Technical Expertise: Proven ability to manage high-complexity technical projects while balancing multiple priorities and stakeholder needs.
* Leadership Skills: Strong leadership capabilities to manage teams, ensure effective collaboration, and drive results.
* Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Risk and Financial Management: Experience with managing project budgets, financial forecasting, and risk mitigation strategies.
* Methodology Expertise: Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or similar project management methodologies.
