Job Description
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join the team at ACS Benefit Services, a subsidiary of Blue Cross NC. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT projects. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall. The IT Project Manager will work closely with stakeholders, team members, and external partners to define project scope, goals, and deliverables, while ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, optimizing resource allocation, and delivering results in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. Key responsibilities include managing project plans, schedules, and budgets, identifying and mitigating project risks, facilitating Agile ceremonies, and ensuring that project deliverables align with client requirements and company objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
4+ years of Project Management experience preferred
Basic knowledge of and/or interest in insurance, third party administration (TPA), preferred
Experience with custom data ingestion from multiple sources, preferred

Project Planning and Execution:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocationBreak down projects into manageable tasks and milestonesAssign tasks to team members and monitor progressEnsure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standardsSchedule and Timing Management:
Create and maintain detailed project schedules, including task dependencies and critical pathsMonitor project progress against the schedule and make adjustments as neededIdentify and address potential delays or bottlenecks proactivelyCommunicate schedule updates and changes to stakeholders and team membersEnsure timely completion of project milestones and deliverablesStakeholder Management:
Identify and engage with key stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior managementCommunicate project status, updates, and changes to stakeholders regularlyManage stakeholder expectations and address concerns promptlyFoster positive relationships with clients and external partnersRisk Management:

Implement Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, as appropriateFacilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectivesEnsure team members adhere to Agile principles and practicesContinuously improve Agile processes and adapt to changing project requirementsResource Management:
Optimize resource allocation across projects to ensure efficient utilizationMonitor team member workload and make adjustments as neededCollaborate with other project managers and department heads to balance resource demandsIdentify and address resource gaps or conflictsQuality Assurance:
Establish and maintain quality standards for project deliverablesConduct regular quality assurance checks and reviewsEnsure that project deliverables meet client requirements and company standardsImplement process improvements to enhance project qualityReporting and Documentation:
Prepare and deliver regular project status reports to stakeholdersMaintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including plans, schedules, and budgetsDocument project lessons learned and best practices for future referenceEnsure compliance with company policies and industry regulationsCollaboration with Other Project Managers:
Work closely with other project managers to coordinate interdependent projects and initiativesShare knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned to improve overall project management processesCollaborate on resource allocation and utilization across projects to optimize efficiencyParticipate in project manager meetings and forums to discuss challenges, successes, and process improvementsPhysical Demands:
While performing the duties of the job, employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear. This is largely a sedentary role. This job consistently uses computers and phones.
