Arcticom, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified Program Manager supporting blockchain analysis in Baltic States.  

 

With an emphasis on Data Analytics and Data Management, this position is responsible for consulting with our client on potential designs and implementation methods of data-driven applications and services, leveraging existing and available cloud-based solutions. This is a technical, hands-on, customer-facing role that will be accountable for delivering advice and guidance on the pros and cons of various cloud-based data analytic offerings and implementations.  This position will be required to think creatively, render opinions on design options and interact directly with client executive and technical staff. You will participate in large projects and benefit from the vast knowledge of team members and stakeholders. 

Responsibilities Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions to both large and small audiences & educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of IT Working knowledge of Cloud services and coming trends in the Cloud space, specifically around data analytics as a serviceUnderstanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends, especially data pipeline and data analysis tools and services, infrastructure automation, networking, storage and cloud-based delivery modelsWorking knowledge of technologies such as Databricks to implement inbound and outbound data pipelines to support various data typesUnderstanding of current structure and operations of data analytics environments supported by OSD’s Advana capabilityOversight experience on transformational projects and successful transitions to implementation support teams Experience with Data Warehousing, cloud-based Big Data technologies, and data pipeline concepts and practical implementation experience Experience with design/implementation/consulting of distributed systems, algorithms, and relational databasesExperience architecting/operating solutions built on Cloud platforms. Proficiency with one or more programming languages like Spark SQL, Scala, Python, R, and/or Java. Serving as a hands-on subject matter expert for DevOps and Automation in a cloud environment Experience working with Agile methodology to manage project demand, tracking, monitoring and executionProven track record of building trusted technical and business relationships with business executives and driving growth in highly strategic or key accounts Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through Strong problem-solving and analytical skills leveraging all available resources Strong foundation of knowledge around cloud platforms like Azure and AWS and the cloud ecosystemAbility to connect technology with measurable business value Demonstrated technical thought leadership in customer facing situations Exceptional verbal and written communication Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences High initiative, self-motivation and drive to exceed expectationsAbility to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environmentAbility to quickly learn new concepts and software as requiredExcellent analytic and problem solving skillsDeadline focused, detail oriented, well organized and self-motivatedAbility to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and manage time efficientlyAbility to push the frontier of technology and independently pursue better alternatives Qualifications

10+ years of data management experience10+ years of Microsoft SQL server experience and knowledge of Transaction-SQL, Stored Procedures and SQL QueriesA Bachelors college degree is requiredMust be US CitizenMust have or be able to attain a SECRET security clearance

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is performed in a hybrid setting with semi-frequent travel to Eastern European countries.

Hires and supervises direct reports.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base and/or US embassies.
