Position Overview: The IT Project Planner\/Product Support Manager at Fort Johnson is responsible for overseeing and managing IT project planning and product support activities. This role ensures that IT projects are executed efficiently and that products are supported effectively throughout their lifecycle. The manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, logistics, and supply chain, to ensure successful project delivery and product support in alignment with organizational goals.\n
Key Responsibilities:\n\nProject Planning: Develop and manage IT project plans, including timelines, resources, and budgets. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.\nProduct Support Management: Oversee product support activities, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades. Ensure products are supported effectively throughout their lifecycle.\nStakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with IT, logistics, and supply chain teams to align project planning and product support with organizational objectives.\nRisk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT projects and product support. Develop contingency plans to address potential issues.\nCompliance: Ensure all project planning and product support activities comply with DOD 8140 standards and other relevant regulations.\nReporting: Prepare and present regular reports on project status, product support activities, and related metrics to senior management.\nContinuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving project planning and product support processes. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.\n\n
Qualifications:\n\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in IT project planning and\/or product support management.\nStrong understanding of DCWF 803 (Supply Technical Support) requirements.\nDOD 8140 compliance experience.\nProven experience in managing complex IT projects and product support activities.\nExcellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.\n\n
Preferred Qualifications:\n\nPMP, ITIL, or other relevant certifications.\nExperience working in a military or government environment.\nFamiliarity with DOD supply chain and logistics processes.\n\n
