IT PURCHASING COORDINATOR

ABOUT THE ROLE\:
3D Systems is seeking a seasoned IT Purchasing Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This senior role is pivotal in managing and optimizing our IT procurement processes, ensuring that our technology needs align with our business goals. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and procurement strategies, playing a key role in maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and partners.
WHAT YOU’LL DO\:
Vendor Relations\: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential vendors, ensuring that they meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations. Evaluate vendor performance regularly and provide feedback for improvement. Procurement Strategy\: Collaborate with the CIO and IT team to develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company’s technology goals and budget. Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and legal requirements. Contract Management\: Partner with indirect procurement to negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions. Oversee contract renewals and amendments, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. Work closely with legal and finance departments to review and approve contractual agreements. Budgeting and Cost Control\: Assist in the preparation of the IT budget, monitoring expenditures to ensure alignment with financial goals. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or performance. Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, expenditures, and cost savings. Technology Needs Assessment\: Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to assess technology needs and forecast future requirements. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT procurement or vendor management, preferably within the engineering or technology sector. Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and vendor relationship management. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends and procurement strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
