About the job
We are seeking a skilled SAP Reporting Specialist with expertise in SAP BW (Business Warehouse) and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SAP reporting solutions that support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of data modeling, analytics, and visualization, ensuring robust and scalable reporting solutions within our SAP ecosystem.
Key Outputs
Design and develop reporting and analytics solutions using SAP BW and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data into SAP BW, ensuring high data quality and performance. Create and optimize SAP BW queries and models to enhance reporting capabilities. Develop interactive dashboards and reports using SAP SAC to provide business insights. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into scalable SAP reporting solutions. Ensure data governance and security in alignment with company policies and compliance standards. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide continuous improvements to SAP BW and SAC solutions. Stay updated with SAP advancements and recommend enhancements for reporting and analytics. Train and support end-users in utilizing SAP BW and SAC reports effectively.
Education and experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in SAP BW development, data modeling, and query optimization. Proven expertise in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), including story creation, data connectivity, and visualization. Strong knowledge of SAP HANA modeling and integration with BW and SAC. Experience with SAP S/4HANA data structures and integration. Familiarity with SQL, ABAP, and scripting for data transformations and automation. Understanding of BI and data warehousing best practices. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication skills to interact with both technical teams and business users. Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with minimal supervision.
Skills and behavioral competencies
Experience with SAP DataSphere, not only BW. Knowledge of Qlik, Tableau, or Power BI as complementary visualization tools. SAP BW or SAC certification is a plus. Proficiency in business analysis and understanding business requirements. Result orientated Empowerment & accountability. Team spirit, building relationships, collective accountability. Strong leadership capability, executing as appropriate in the areas of responsibility. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, establish rapport, and persuade others.
