A Day in the Life:Identifies critical areas for improvement in the technology usedContinuously providing insight on ways to apply the technology present more efficiently.The main point of responsibility in data security efficiency in terms of ensuring it operates according to governance and compliance policiesMonitor and analyze security events using cloud-native security tools and SIEM solutions.Keys to Success:Use of influence skills to acquire agreement and participation from various groups and partners without direct controlEnsure documentation and processes are well defined so that the engineered solutions are understood and repeatable.Ensure solutions are well built, backed up & restore tested, and consistently maintained for healthProactively communicate and collaborate with the business on maintaining our security posture.Develop and maintain security documentation, including policies, standards, and procedures related to cloud securityEducationBachelor's Degree in cybersecurity, computer science, systems engineering, or related field. Equivalent work experience is acceptedCertifications not required, but encouraged: Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP, CCNA, CCSP, CCIE Security, or other security-related certificationsDemonstrate strong organizational and leadership capabilitiesExperience5+ years of systems administration experience3 - 5 years of cloud security operations experience for a large-scale company3 - 5 years of proven experience in software or networking engineeringIn-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCPExperience with implementing and managing security controls in cloud environmentsFamiliarity with industry standards and frameworks (e.g., CIS benchmarks, NIST, ISO 27001)Strong organization skills, leading sophisticated projectsKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesExcellent understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud services and infrastructure, with hands-on experience in implementing secure solutionsExperience in conducting risk assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies within the Azure environmentStrong knowledge of identity and access management principles and tools, such as Azure Active Directory, and OAuthStrong problem-solving in both ambiguous and tactical situations with a bias for actionValidated flexibility and ability to perform in a multidimensional environmentAbility to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDedication to excellence, high-quality standards, and attention to detailStay abreast of industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in cloud security.Hands-on experience using and/or configuration of one or more of the following, are a plusPowershellTerraformSplunk
