Capacity Management Analyst is a role responsible for the effective execution of Capacity Management Service activities for specific services or assets. This will range from determining or building capacity models, developing capacity plans, supporting optimisation of assets and executing capacity expansion activities, as appropriate.
Key accountabilities:

The Capacity Management Analyst works with complex capacity and performance data covering Applications and Infrastructure estate, both on-premise and in the Cloud.The role will interpret this complexity and work with the Capacity Management service delivery team to determine critical areas that require most focus from Capacity Management perspective, identify opportunities to minimise cost and risk, making capacity expansion requests predictable in terms of costs and avoiding incidents. Role Requires skills in issue management, commercial awareness, vendor management and technical acumen are very desirable, in addition to knowledge of capacity management processes and techniques. 
Key areas of responsibility:
Operations support:
Ensure service owners are correctly modelling their demand and actual usage, in compliance with the Capacity Management Procedure Identify critical business outcomes and support development of relevant models, with assistance from the Capacity Management Service and other Operations teams. Develop Capacity demand and investment plans.Monitor key Infrastructure assets inventory and their utilisation, with a view to optimise load and increase utilisationReact to requests for new capacity and validate against usage, applying financial recovery, where agreed. Collect and present all decision support data and make joint investment recommendations.Providing advice on best practice in capacity management to stakeholders. Provide input to and develop Rules of The Road and the associated Guidelines, Templates and FAQs Manage portfolio of Reserved Instances (Cloud discounted hours), plan new purchases, monitor utilisation and ROI Tools: Monitor asset inventory and its utilisation, using CMIS, Capacity & Performance Management and Cost tools (e.g. AWS Console, Azure Portal, Cloudability), with a view to optimise costs, assure supply and increase utilisation. Develop IT service critical resource demand and asset usage views, using CMIS, Cloudability or custom reports.Respond to Customer queries for Tool support Analysis & Reporting:Perform regular analysis and stakeholder reporting of capacity consumption, utilisation and costs Preparation of business case for Infrastructure investment (e.g. Storage expansion or AWS RIs) * Respond to Customer queries for Management Information Act as the SPA for the assigned division of IT&S (Segment or Functions) Provide custom reports as required, in support of Capacity Management, asset utilisation, business outcome managementEducation:

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma or equivalent

Essential experience and job requirements:
Candidates are expected to be able to demonstrate:
A role in a Global organization. Knowledge of Capacity Management and its key sub-processes Project management and commercial experience with major infrastructure vendors, including procurement, project and service delivery management, audit and compliance aspects, within a large scale organization Excellent communication skills; written, presentation and verbal Ability to manage internal ‘customers’, and associated shared services Familiarity with Business Outcomes-based End to End Service Management Experience of working with technical and non-technical teams across a broad range of IT disciplines which touch capacity management (e.g. application management teams, technical SMEs, monitoring and operations teams, procurement, finance). Understanding of issues connected to capacity demand, usage monitoring, allocation vs. usage, linkage to business service Experience of complex datacentre operations metrics, such as CPU, RAM, Disk, Network and other core data, virtualisation and clustering, and cloud environmentsDesirable criteria and qualifications:
Formal training/certification in ISO19770 and ITIL. Analytical skills, including data set manipulation in Excel and other analysis tools, using mathematical functions Aptitude, ability and/or previous experience of software development, especially JSON scripting or PowerBI Financial awareness, including budgeting and forecasting.
