IT Senior Data Engineer (Hybrid)
This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.
Our Team
The IT Senior Data Engineer requires supporting the leader for Enterprise data engineering and analytics group in leading data initiatives. The individual will create pipelines to deliver data to business stakeholders and coordinate all master data activities with other organizational Governance teams. The IT Senior Data Engineer maintain appropriate data documentation, including master data management, data quality, report inventory, enterprise data definitions, policies and procedures and others. The incumbent will problem-solve by identifying potential tools/processes to support needs by capturing areas of improvement that can be translated into functional requirements for future planning.
Essential Functions:
Perform and collaborate on system designs, solution development including data migration and extracts from legacy systems to modern cloud infrastructure.Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.Design Data mappings and contribute to Data catalogs.Contribute to designing of SAAS solutions and data modelling.Work in a team to ensure that all components meet objectives and performance goals as defined in the requirements.Able to identify gaps and pain points for capabilities including data quality, governance, analytics, metadata management, master data management.Provides input into the roadmaps of upstream teams (e.g., Data Platforms, DataOps, DevOps) to help improve the overall program of work.Provide leadership to team members to help others get the job done right.Work with stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.Able to create dashboards or reports in Power BI.Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
Azure Ecosystem, ETL, Power BIExperience of building data processing pipelines for use in production “hands off” batch systems, including either traditional ETL pipelines and/or analytics pipelines.Hands-on experience in Infrastructure-as-Code and Configuration management tools and technologies: Terraform, CI/CD.Experience on Databricks, including ETL and job creation/scheduling is preferred.Education: Bachelor or Master's degree in a related field. Computer Science preferred.
Experience: Five (5) to eight (8) years related experience
Licenses & Certifications: Any Cloud certification is required; Azure certification preferred.
Working Conditions:
