Job Description SummaryReporting to the Chief Information Officer this leader will be accountable to manage the people, processes, and technologies used to provide enterprise cloud infrastructure to all staff at Florida Cancer Specialists and Research Institute.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a comprehensive cloud infrastructure roadmap aligned with business goals and objectives, including the management of data center facilities.
Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers and data center technicians, providing guidance on architecture design, best practices, and technical direction.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance, cost-effectiveness, and operational efficiency of our cloud environments and data center operations.
Establish and enforce security policies and compliance standards to protect sensitive data and mitigate risks in both cloud-based and physical environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development, deployment, and operation of cloud-based applications and services, as well as the maintenance of on-premises infrastructure.
Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage in cloud infrastructure and data center management.
Key Result Areas
Function as an IT Infrastructure liaison for interdepartmental communication.
Implement, develop and maintain: SOP, policies and standards.
Support personal and professional growth of the infrastructure team under your leadership.
Position Qualifications/RequirementsEducation:
Bachelor’s Degree or relevant certifications/experience in Information technology or related field
Previous Experience:
Ten (10) years multi-site healthcare related IT experience with increasing responsibility
A minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering or related roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position
Strong background in Azure Cloud required
Deep understanding of Azure cloud architecture principles, networking concepts, and security best practices, as well as physical infrastructure management
Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse group of technical professionals.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively and drive innovation in cloud infrastructure and data center solutions.
Experience with PMBOK, Agile and/or Scrum methodologies, certifications preferred.
Comfortable challenging the status-quo in an efficient, & constructive manner
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
Enthusiastic about building a team culture of innovation, automation & planful execution.
Ability to effectively communicate complex IT concepts simplistically.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Strong financial acumen and cost management skills.
