Kemper Internship Program
Kemper’s internships will enable you to broaden your understanding of the business, make valuable connections, and set a course for your professional journey with us. You will work on special projects that positively impact our business and our customers.
Kemper is looking for students who love to problem solve and are willing to a make real-life impact on projects that may involve the senior executives to front-line associates. We deliver meaningful experiences in various internship areas like Product Development, Claims, Operations, Finance, IT, Data Analytics, and much more.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kemper interns will be exposed to the following concepts and experiences:
The team provides a high level of visibility and overall communication to the appropriate business teams and IT service teams in terms of current projects and commitments and set clear expectations for service deliveryProvide support to shepherd new applications or major upgrades through the CTO service delivery process to successfully launch an application and transition to long term maintenance and supportAssist the team working with program managers, project managers, business owners, application owners, IT owners and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth implementation of services – focus on value added processes for the customerLearn to seek improvement opportunities for CTO services by reducing waste, reducing lead-time, reducing costs, while improving quality, and customer satisfactionProvide support for CTO delivery servicesHelp develop management and executive reports and updates as necessaryMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (MUST HAVE):
Junior or Senior status enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program at Miles CollegeQualifying majors in an academic area related to computer information systems or data analyticsStrong communication skillsInterest in project management3.0 GPA on a 4.0 GPA scaleThis position is a hybrid role and will require regular reporting to our Birmingham, AL office.This position is not eligible for visa sponsorshipKemper is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
