Job description

BMG is looking for an ambitious IT Solution Architect. As a IT Solution Architect, you assure that in the architectural direction the IT capabilities are aligned with the changing business needs. You will contribute to BMG becoming the bank which provides top notch services and products for our customers in Cash Pool and Netting.

Cash Pool is in the core of the BMG service offering. Cash Pool concentrates company’s available cash and borrowing needs, to centralize all credit and debit balances of the subsidiaries whenever a large corporate client needs better cash visibility, better FX conditions and committed customer service to help with his broader liquidity management challenges. Netting is a BMG solution to boost cash flow efficiency; it reduces transaction and Foreign Exchange (FX) costs by centralizing the (intercompany) payables and receivables for corporate clients. Payments are essential for both Cash Pool and Netting. Channels ensures clients can access their data in whatever way works best for them, be it via our Megabank system, our mobile app or our connectivity solutions.

What are you going to do

You formulate a vision on IT architecture patterns that fit in the BMG context using ING architecture components. All in close alignment with our business architects, IT leads, squads and second line representativesYou focus on the translation of business and strategic requirements into IT solutionsYou identify the state of IT capabilities (from strong to non-existence) to help the BMG management making the strategic decisions on prioritization of change initiatives in light of what is possible from both a Business and IT perspectiveYou analyse, visualize and discuss the overlap, dependencies, impact and risk (business and technical) across business change initiatives on all relevant stakeholders in both Business and ITYour work spans the full information management lifecycle from information acquisition through analysis, cleanse, transform, classify and storage to presentation, distribution, security, privacyYou provide guidance to IT Leads, squads by describing IT architecture modelsYou coordinate the overarching decisions regarding Security, Infrastructure, database management and IT solutions. Therefore your skills to cooperate must be excellentYou execute reviews on the deliverables to guarantee that these are in line with the IT roadmap and architecture guidelinesYou co-operate with business architects and senior IT staff to create the best fit of IT solutions for BMG

10+ years of professional experience as a IT architectYou have at least 5 year experience of working in an international Banking environmentYou have a master degree preferably Business Economics, Information Technology or MathematicsYou have knowledge of databases, meta-models, knowledge and content management, business intelligence and storage managementYou have integral, cross domain knowledge and experience and significant knowledge of multiple environments (domains, platforms, products, architectures, technologies)You actively keep up your professional knowledge and translate external trends in applicable knowledgeYou are an expert with strong analytical skills, using state of the art methods and techniquesYou have excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
