The core purpose of the IT Solution Engineer - WorkPlace Collaboration is the technical build resource for Aurecon IT’s WorkPlace domain.
This role works with project teams, Operational teams and in conjunction with the Domain Architect – WorkPlace to provide guidance,
provisioning and the configuration of enterprise infrastructure and business services to realise project and strategic outcomes.
Core responsibilities relate to the Collaboration technologies within the WorkPlace domain and include (but are not limited to):
• Microsoft Teams - experience with core features of the Teams app in addition to Telephony and Teams rooms (AV).
• Identity - experience working with MS Active Directory and Azure AD / Entra ID.
• Exchange - Exhange online and on-prem, experience preforming mail migrations desirable.
• Meeting Rooms / AV - experience supporting Teams native AV hardware from vendors such as Crestron, Neat etc.
• Telephony - understanding of telephony technologies delivered via Teams and VOIP.
• Office 365 suite - experience with other applications in the suite not listed above.
Printing - experience with print queues and PaperCut print queue management tool desirable but not essential.

Key responsibilities
• Perform build and configuration activities relating to project initiatives within the Workplace domain.
Identify best practice technical standards, practices and policies to support the delivery of a robust and fit for purpose solutions
to support the projects and initiatives.

• Contribute to the development of High-Level Designs (HLDs) & Detailed Level Designs (DLD) for project initiatives.
Provide input to domain strategies and roadmaps by providing insights from the deployment of technologies in real world
scenarios leveraging practical experience.

Develop and maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation in relation to technical standards and services across the
group.

• Serve as a final point of internal escalation for IT Operations Team relating to Priority 1 incidents
• Perform knowledge transfer and transition of project solutions to IT Operations Team.
• Liaise with the assigned Solution Architect to define and develop solution architecture for a project initiative
• Collaborate with the project team and Solution Architect to achieve an endorsement for the proposed design.
Build and configure the solution in line with the agreed design, ensuring that any deviations to the solution are communicated
and agreed with the Solution Architect.

Identify best practice technical standards, practices and policies to support the delivery of a robust and fit for purpose solutions
to support the projects and initiatives.

• Keep abreast of industry best practices and emerging technology trends
• Maintain relevant technical qualifications relating to the technologies contained within the WorkPlace domain.

• Demonstrated SFIA capability in line with requirements listed below.
• Strong conceptual and strategic thinking, problem solving, technical, and analytical skills
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Demonstrated success working collaboratively in cross functional teams producing quality outcomes.
• Relevant certifications (e.g. ITIL, Cobit, MCSE, CCNA, etc.)
