The Solutions Architect is a strategic member of our IT Department and is an ideal role for someone with deep experience in the financial services industry who has worked directly with accounting systems (ex AP/AR). They will deeply understand the solutions and capabilities of a large enterprise environment. This role is a consultative partner for our internal stakeholders, focusing on understanding their goals and strategies and mapping solutions to business outcomes. The Solutions Architect is responsible for using their knowledge of software programs and business strategies to help maximize productivity and communication.  The candidate will design, develop, and implement solutions. The role also requires expertise with Microsoft Power Platform and a deep understanding of business processes.

 

This position must report to the SHI Austin, TX, or SHI Somerset, NJ, office location as determined by SHI management.

Include, but not limited to: 

Provide technical guidance and oversee data migration from legacy Microsoft Dynamics AX (Axapta) to Dynamics 365 F&O, ensuring data integrity and quality throughout the process.Ability to understand the technical architecture of Axapta, translate and provide optimized, scalable solutions within the Dynamics 365 platform, ensuring alignment with best practices and technical architecture.Develop detailed technical architecture blueprints for Dynamics 365 F&O implementation, including data mapping, integration, customization, and system configurations.Demonstrates leadership to ensure that transformation solutions recommendations are comprehensive and meet business objectives.  Engage with multiple layers of contacts within the organization to gain insights into the environment.  Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvement based on industry trends and professional business knowledge.  Develop cross-functional strategies and solutions.  Translates business and technical objectives into prioritized, phased solutions.  Oversee and facilitate the evaluation and selection of hardware and software technology and product standards.  Provide technology/architecture recommendations based on business relevance, appropriate timing, and deployment.  Keep the portfolio current, driving the retirement of legacy solutions/technologies.  Contribute to the design of operational processes, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and compliance with policies and security requirements.  Stay current with new technologies and frameworks and recommend adopting new partners or solution components. Builds current and future state integration diagrams and views.  Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or relevant work experience is required. An MBA or an advanced Finance or Data Architecture degree is a plus.10+ years of experience in solutions architecture or software engineering. 5+ years of experience with application development and modernization.Microsoft Dynamics AX or Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations certifications.  Required Skills Core Development Skills: C#, SQL, JSON, REST API, GitHub (including Actions), Jenkins, Jira.Proven experience working with Microsoft AX and Dynamics 365 Finance or equivalent (SAP, Oracle Financials, etc.) with in-depth knowledge of finance functionalities like General Ledger, Accounts Receivable/Payable, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting to design optimal solutions.Deep knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform architecture, capabilities, and limitations.Expertise in data analysis, data mapping, and data migration strategies.Designing and supporting multi-tier applications and cloud-based architectures. Expertise in API scalability, reliability, availability, security, and governance needs.Implemented API management infrastructure and understands productization of APIs.Expertise in diagramming tools (Visio/LucidChart).Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve complex business challenges.Ability to recommend technical solutions, write technical specifications, and presentation skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams.Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures. Excellent organizational and project management skills, attention to quality, self-motivation, and a strong desire to succeed. Ability to translate goals and strategies into business solutions. 

Preferred Skills: 

 

Cloud infrastructure (Azure and AWS).Work experience in ERP technologies with 3+ years in Dynamics 365 F&O.Knowledge of emerging Microsoft technologies: Azure Cloud Platform, Power BI, PowerApps, Flow, Azure Data Lake, DevOps, etc.Data modeling, performance tuning, data extraction, and migration.Experience with Azure API Management and Azure API gateway.Integrating APIs with service bus, data lake, SaaS, and PaaS components.Hands-on experience with API design tools.Message-based and event-driven architectures.Experience with iterative and test-driven development practice. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Strong understanding of Agile practices, including Scrum.  Unique Requirements

Travel as needed based on business needs and determined by SHI management.

Additional Information The estimated annual pay range for this position is $100,000 - $225,000.
