IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC)
Summary You will serve as an Information Technology Specialist performing duties as the National Intelligence (NAVINTEL) Information Assurance (IA) Cybersecurity Analyst. this position is located at HOPPER GLOBAL COMMUNICATIONS CENTER. Responsibilities You will carry out Risk Management Framework (RMF) methods, approaches and procedures and provide advice and guidance on a wide range of complex IT and Cyber Security (CS) issues. You will diagnose, analyze and resolve IT systems, software and/or hardware problems. You will test and optimize the functionality of data transfers between systems, networks and data backbones. You will collaborate and integrate information system security and review certification and accreditation documentation to ensure it is compliant with standards, policy and regulations. You will provide guidance to resolve processing problems and assistance to users of IT systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. AND Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Provide customers with assessment, validation, and authorization information for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) information systems that require assessment, validation and/or authorization support; 2. Analyze SCI system security documentation to identify discrepancies and corrective actions; 3. Review security controls and ensure that they are implemented correctly, operating as intended, and producing the desired outcome with the respect to meeting all security requirements.
