Summary This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Information Technology OIT, Enterprise Systems Solutions Group (ESSG), Division of Medicare Systems Support (DMSS). As a IT Specialist (Operating Systems), GS-2210-13, you will provide technical direction to contractors in the design, development and implementation for release management of maintenance and system enhancements. Responsibilities Develop system proposals and coordinate the efforts necessary to translate management objectives/directives into an advanced IT system. Provide day-to-day technical direction to systems contractors and evaluate contractor performance for release management. Collaborates with business owners to review change requests for each system and provides estimates for implementation. Advise all levels of center/office management, technical personnel, and contractors regarding design and feasibility of system proposals in area of responsibility. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). This Act increases healthcare spending by nearly $100 billion, mainly by extending the American Rescue Plan's temporarily-expanded Affordable Care Act (ACA) premium tax credits for an additional three years, through 2025. The bill will also allow Medicare to negotiate prescription drug prices, implement improvements to Medicare Part D including a benefit redesign and new manufacturer discount program, impose inflation rebates for Part B and Part D drugs, and other miscellaneous changes in Part B and Part D to improve the affordability of prescription drugs.
