Responsibilities You will oversee infrastructure management, maintenance of systems, technology upgrades, and application and server support. You will be responsible for managing support operations, troubleshooting infrastructure technical issues, maintaining systems, inventory, implementing technology upgrades and ensuring cybersecurity compliance. You will be responsible for providing project management feedback on data center requirements for IT applications development projects. You will implement and maintain security protocols to protect sensitive data. You will provide recommendations and advice on the assignment of personnel within the section, remains informed on all section tasks and their alignment with TRNGCMD mission and priorities. You will oversee training and knowledge management; ensure the creation of and maintenance of the Individual Development Plan (IDP) to ensure professional growth and technical readiness You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with digital security measures for command IT systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience that demonstrated accomplishment of computer project assignments that required a wide range of knowledge of computer requirements and techniques pertinent to the position to be filled. This knowledge is generally demonstrated by assignments where the applicant analyzed a number of alternative approaches in the process of advising management concerning major aspects of ADP system design, such as what system interrelationships must be considered, or what operating mode, system software, and/or equipment configuration is most appropriate for a given project. Knowledge of the customary approaches, techniques, and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization; Planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls; and Adaptation of guidelines or precedents to the needs of the assignment. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
