SUMMARY

As a SRE ENGINEER III, you will report to the Sr. Manager - Hybrid IT SRE. 8 to 10 years experience working as SRE with knowledge on open source, shell scripting, telemetry, monitoring and  CI/CD tools such as TFS, Azure DevOps (ADO). Should be flexible to work in US SHIFTS and should be available for extended support basis business needs / critical support ask.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide governance & oversight to guide implementation toward solution delivery. Guide & mentor the team to successfully deliver projects. Develop and execute automated builds & releases while benchmarking industry standards for efficient and quality delivery and deployments. Contribute to and review deployment plans; schedule the installation of new modules, upgrades, and fixes to the production environment. Lead analytical & design activities using approved/validated technologies in line with organizational standards and methodologies. Align IT security and IT operations teams to ensure DevOps processes operate safely and securely. Support and extend technical guidance to junior team members. Troubleshoot complex system issues and adapt to new technologies as needed. Provide extended support as required based on business needs and critical support demands.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES 

Experience:

7+ years of Linux systems support experience in an IT environment, preferably in a technical industry (Server Deployment, Monitoring, Observability & Support). 2+ years of experience in AWS, OCI, or GCP.

Automation & Scripting:

Must have experience in ANSIBLE & Ansible Tower, including playbook creation, inventories, scheduling, and repository management. Strong scripting knowledge, preferably YAML (PowerShell is a plus). Experience with open-source automation for rapid server builds and software deployment. Monitoring & Infrastructure as Code (IAC): Knowledge of SRE processes, monitoring, telemetry, and IAC tools like Terraform.

Networking & Security:

Knowledge of clustering technologies, server farming techniques, and load balancing, including F5 Big IP or other hardware load balancing. Disaster Recovery & System Administration: Experience with Disaster Recovery techniques, including backup and restoration technologies, replication strategies, fail-over, and recovery. Installation/configuration experience with Apache, Samba, FTP, NFS, and LDAP.

Soft Skills:

Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to learn and adapt to new technologies. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
