Job Description The IT Strategic Risk function helps ISG leadership make calculated decisions by providing a clear view of risks, priorities, and progress. This role identifies potential issues early—whether related to execution, architecture, systems, or people —and works closely with teams to address them before they escalate. The role also monitors and highlights key risks and delivery challenges, enabling leaders to act quickly and effectively. By turning incidents into lessons and supporting governance forums with timely insights, it ensures IT efforts stay aligned, focused, and on track.Key Responsibilities
Strategic Governance Framework
Revisit, redesign, implement and monitor the IT Strategic Governance Model – ensuring alignment across IT transformation and modernization roadmaps, Commercial priorities and Enterprise requirements
Drive the integration of performance, capability and people dimensions into the IT Strategic Governance framework to enable identification of early-stage Risks related to execution, architecture, competencies, including vendor and other 3rd party-related gaps
Strategic Risk Identification & Intervention
Monitor critical ISG transformation areas, highlighting systemic threats, program delivery bottlenecks, and people risks,
Translate these into business service-impacting risk statements, and launch Risk Mitigation actions plans in close coordination with Process & Service Owners
Partner with Risk Owners to track risk velocity, exposure and escalation thresholds
Mobilize and guide Executive focus and support when mitigation is stalling or inadequate to ensure that risks are neutralized
Future-proofing
Champion continuous improvement by embedding Risk-related learnings and best practices in the IT Strategic Governance framework
Co-design recovery plans with Process and Service Owners to restore service improvement trajectory
