We’re looking for an amazing IT Technical Superintendent to fill this hybrid role based in our Fort Lauderdale Office. You’ll be responsible for playing a critical role in technical expertise and leadership for IT Officers aboard Princess vessels. This position is designed for a leader who excels in cross-organizational collaboration and possesses strong mentoring and leadership abilities. The IT Superintendent is a liaison between shoreside business initiatives and shipboard IT. Additionally, the role involves developing strategic, forward-thinking plans to anticipate future needs and challenges within the fleet. This position requires close collaboration with shipboard staff, including the Captain, Staff Captain, and Hotel General Manager. Effective communication with Senior Executives is essential. Here’s a summary of what Princess is looking for in its IT Technical Superintendent. Is this you? **Responsibilities** + Foster collaboration between shoreside and shipboard IT teams + Perform advanced troubleshooting to identify and address complex system issues promptly. + Drive automation initiatives to streamline operational processes and improve efficiency. + Act as a technical mentor and trainer for IT staff + Oversee incident management processes, ensuring timely resolution + Lead and manage IT projects from initiation to completion + Plan and manage IT operational budgets + Mentor junior team members and share knowledge to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. + Establish and maintain run books to simplify IT Operations + Support ITO assignments and shipboard scheduling **Requirements** + Bachelor's degree in technology or related field, or equivalent industry experience. Master's degree preferred. + Understanding of networking principles and experience troubleshooting network issues. + Experience with API monitoring tools, particularly Dynatrace. + Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems + 10+ years IT Operations + Previous management experience + Ability to troubleshoot ITO devices effectively. + Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. + Experience with true root cause analysis methodologies such as the "5 Whys" or similar approaches. + Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired.
