IT Supervisor
Overview ***This position is physically located in the Philippines in support of LOGCAP*** The IT Supervisor Directs and Supervises all IT COMM subordinate personnel and responsible for items related to the IT COMM arena. Must be able to be Tier 2 / 3 level Help Desk IT Field Technician. Must have a comprehensive working knowledge of IT COMM fields and how they relate/feed each other. In absence of the IT Planner work with Senior Management in building, prioritizing, and maintaining IT COMM infrastructure. Also write SOWs and meet with prospective vendors. In absence of the IT Manager fills in and attends high level meetings as well as meetings that benefit customer service for IT. Perform Technical Evaluations on prospective Suppliers and Suppliers that actively have IT contracts with the Program. In the absence of IA personnel must respond and mitigate if there is a suspected Cyber Incident. The IT Supervisor must have at least 5 years’ experience in an IT COMM discipline in a Lead/Supervisory Role. Must have at least a DoD 8570 IAM Level 2 certification (CompTIA CASP+ satisfies this requirement) Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. Responsibilities include: Supervising IT Personnel IT Planner Working with other Supervisors and Managers Meetings IT Security Technician Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. High School Diploma. DoD 8570 IAM Level 2 Certification (CASP+) Experience: At least 5 years working in an IT Discipline in a Lead/Supervisor Role Skills: Troubleshoot/Repair PC/Network related issues. Troubleshoot NIPR problems. Virtual OS Management (Hypervisor/VMware) Balance between IA security and operational Relay issues that cannot be resolved to Higher Levels Self-Driven but a team player Lead by example. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Works in a general office environment. However, duties will involve the conduct of work in the outdoors with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions including frequent tropical storms, typhoons, and high temperatures – upwards of 110 degrees in the summer months. Potential exposure to chemical or biological agents could exist. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in certain areas is required. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices. Must comply with all Fire, Safety and post policies. Normal work week is 40 hours but must be able to work overtime or nights as required. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: Work will require occasional lifting up to 25 lbs., occasional prolonged standing, and prolonged sitting. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with DOLE OSHA, EPA, Fire and Safety Regulations and published company work rules.
