IT Supply Chain Business Analyst

A Supply Chain IT Business Process Analyst at Micron is responsible for supporting Micron’s business strategies with process, data, and planning systems. The analyst will be required to understand generally accepted supply chain operating principles and the necessary data and modeling capabilities to support these principles. Will use the following standardized release procedures: coordinating, planning, monitoring, documenting, testing, and scheduling consistent with department standards and support the entire project lifecycle from initial project definition to project implementation (including testing and training) through to project closure. Analysts also act as expert on current Supply Planning processes and systems; identify, recommend, and drive process improvements; and consultants on these processes and systems for partners and internal customers. Will also help align the capabilities of the company’s software and design business processes and requirements based on business needs.

Additionally, you will work directly with internal customers to troubleshoot access issues and ensure that only authorized users have access to the organization’s resources. Your access will be provisioned properly, enabling them to perform their jobs effectively.


In this role, you will be responsible for

Gather and formalize business requirements.Identify internal customers impacted by the change.Collaborate with internal customers to identify business requirements, vetting against the scope of the initiative.Validate requirements with representatives who will be affected by the business process or change and obtain internal customer sign-off.Collaborate with the implementation team (including Area Architects, Software Engineers, etc.) to determine the best IT solution for the identified business problem.Collaborate with the implementation team to develop estimates of effort for proposed system changes.Document (business rules, as-is/to-be flows, requirements, data configuration, use cases, functional specs, and testing forms).Facilitate collaboration between affected groups to ensure acceptance of the process changes and completion of tasks by the due dates.Analyze existing system functionality and business processes in the scope of the business need and design valued cost-effective solutions that will efficiently function to support the customer requirements.Validate configuration changes meet the internal customers’ requirements without negatively impacting existing functionality.Identify and/or enter data needed in the development and test environments to validate configuration changes.Collaborate with business group members to ensure the full end-to-end business process functions and meets business requirements within the project scope.Build, communicate, and coordinate test plans and test cases (integration, functional, user acceptance, regression, security, etc.).Build a functional understanding of the Global Supply Chain organization to identify process gaps/improvement opportunities, and to design and implement robust Supply Chain Technology solutions and processes by collaborating with key stakeholders in the Supply Chain Engineering, Business, and IT Development teams.Track and analyze business performance against targets and conduct root cause analysis to find opportunities for improvement.Create and deliver training on recently designed and developed solutions and process changes for teams in the Global Supply Chain organization.

Develop/Enhance Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities in the following areas to help deliver on primary responsibilities.

Good technical understanding of planning solutions from Kinaxis Rapid Response (RR), Blue Yonder (BY), SAP, HANA, etc.Strong written and verbal communication skillsAn understanding of the Supply Chain planning and modeling principlesAbility to quickly access data, perform detailed analysis, and summarize insights for leadership (using SQL)Familiarity with Industrial Engineering concepts (queueing theory, lean, theory of constraints, Little’s Law, optimization, etc.)Critical thinking skillsHighly self-motivated and outcome-orientedSupply chain acumen with a strong industrial engineering foundation

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related or master’s degree with a minimum of five years of experience.
