IT Support Associate (Help Desk Technician)

Currently, we are looking for an experienced professional to join IT Support team as: IT Support Associate (Help Desk Technician) This opportunity may be perfect for you if you have experience in: > Ability to actively listen, provide friendly service, and demonstrate patience > Excellent problem-solving skills and high attention to detail > Technology troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance About this position: Responsible for providing computer hardware and software support to the end user community. Additionally, responsible for inventory management and equipment deployment as well as assisting with procurement and invoicing. This position is 100% in the office in Glens Falls, New York. Responsibilities > Deliver end user support for all LAN/WAN based applications in professional, courteous manner. > Document all support tickets and resolutions in Help Desk system. > Configure workstations, printers, and other equipment, meeting the expectations of end user needs. > Work rotational night/weekend on-call; respond to calls and contact appropriate personnel in event of emergency. > Coordinate hardware and software procurement, invoicing, and inventory management; work with IT team and existing vendors as appropriate. > Establish and maintain control of computer and software asset inventory. > Assist IT management with all aspects of budget including planning, input, and tracking. > Assist with management of special projects to add to or improve technology suite as directed by Information Technology Support management. What you will need to thrive in this role: In addition to your work and life experiences, as well as your passion and excitement for the profession, you would benefit from having: Education/Certifications: > Bachelors degree in information technology-related field or equivalent experience required > 6 years of relevant IT experience required Skills/Knowledge: > Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of technology including hardware and software > Knowledge of current network system architectures and basic networking required > Strong communications skills, both written and verbal; comfortable communicating with co-workers, and management. > Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks/projects and meet strict deadlines > Ability to work independently and as part of a cooperative work team > Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Physical Demands > Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for periods of time. > Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and computer mouse and keyboard. > Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs and/or crawl under desks or equipment Other: > Must be able to participate in on call hours on a rotating basis afterhours and during the weekend What we will bring to the table: We believe in investing in our employees and helping them grow their career with us. The pay range for this position is $60,406 – $70,000 annually commensurate with experience and education.
