IT Support Specialist

Mission:

Responsibilities:

Technical Support:

Provide onsite and remote technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other peripherals.Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems promptly to minimize downtime.

Vendor Management:

Liaise with local vendors for procurement, maintenance, and support of IT equipment and services.Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality of services.Business Partner Liaison:Collaborate with business partners to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions.Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment of IT services with business objectives.

Project Participation:

Participate in local and global IT projects, contributing technical expertise and support.Assist in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of IT projects to ensure successful completion.

System Administration:

Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security systems.Perform regular system updates, backups, and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of IT assets, incidents, and resolutions.Prepare and present reports on IT activities, issues, and project progress

Knowledge

Customer-focused mindset with a keen understanding of business objectives.Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.Experience with vendor management and project participation is a plus.Experience working in a global or multi-site environment.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience.Proficiency in English (written and oral); additional languages are advantageous.Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) is a plusFamiliarity with ITIL practices and principles
