IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST

We are seeking a proactive, resourceful, and detail-oriented IT Helpdesk Support Specialist to provide technical assistance to our diverse, fast-paced team. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for technical support across three business lines and a full corporate staff. The ideal candidate will be comfortable troubleshooting, installing, and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network systems. This role requires both technical expertise and the ability to offer outstanding customer service in a dynamic environment.

Your Typical Day:
+ Evaluate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to a wide variety of hardware, software, and network services.
+ Identify and collaborate with external resources as needed to resolve complex issues.
+ Provide support for Point of Sale (POS) systems and ensure compliance with PCI standards.
+ Maintain a foundational understanding of LANs, network domains, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
+ Monitor and ensure the ongoing availability of systems, software, and network services to meet organizational needs.
+ Assist with the configuration and administration of systems, including corporate POS systems and other software solutions.
+ Install and maintain PCs, laptops, printers, and other technology equipment
+ Develop and maintain documentation for systems administration, change management, and troubleshooting procedures.
+ Prioritize and manage tasks effectively, ensuring excellent customer service and experience.
+ Maintain accurate inventory of active and inactive systems and equipment.
+ Administer and manage internal SharePoint site and Office 365 tools.
+ Stay current with new technologies and be willing to learn new systems and provide user training.
+ Travel to remote sites up to 40% of the time to provide on-site support
+ Participate in after-hours on-call rotation to address critical business system issues.
+ Perform other IT-related duties as assigned by the IT management team.
What You’ll Need:
+ Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the role.
+ A+ Certification or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification preferred.
+ Minimum of 2 years’ experience in IT support, including hardware and software troubleshooting and configuration.
+ Experience with general office technology, including laptops, printers, copiers, and network servers.
+ Strong background in helpdesk support, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience.
+ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
+ Ability to read technical manuals and attend vendor seminars to stay informed about industry trends and new technologies.
+ Valid Georgia Driver's License and the ability to meet the company’s insurance requirements.
+ Ability to pass a Georgia Department of Motor Vehicles driving record check.
+ Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed
+ Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing technical issues.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
