The Erosion Company (TEC) is currently hiring an IT Support Specialist for our Woodstock, GA location. We are the largest and most experienced Erosion Control contractor in the Southeast, offering comprehensive erosion control, specialty materials, forestry, and other site clean-up / control services to a wide variety of clients.

As an IT Support Specialist at TEC, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless onboarding of new employees, setting up their IT infrastructure, and providing day-to-day technical support. In this position, you will collaborate with both internal teams and our Third-Party IT support company to maintain a reliable and efficient IT environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Onboarding Support

Facilitate the smooth boarding process for new employees, ensuring timely provisioning of IT resources and access. Set up workstations, laptops, and other necessary equipment for new hires. Conduct orientation sessions to familiarize employees with IT policies and procedures.

IT Support

Provide Tier 1 / Tier 2 technical support for end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network related issues. Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems in a timely manner to minimize downtime. Collaborate with our Third Party IT support company to escalate and resolve complex issues.

User Account Management

Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various systems and platforms. Ensure compliance with security policies and conduct regular audits of user accounts.

Software and Hardware Maintenance

Install, upgrade, and maintain software applications and operating systems. Perform routine maintenance on hardware including updates and patches.

Documentation and Training

Create and maintain documentation for IT processes, troubleshooting guides and user manuals. Conduct training sessions to educate employees on best practices for IT security and system usage.

Collaboration

Work closely with other IT team members to address IT infrastructure needs. Liaise with the Third-Party IT support company to coordinate and escalate issues as required.

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or similar role. Knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems. Familiarity with ITIL best practices. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in collaborating with external IT support providers is a plus. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) are advantageous. Diploma or equivalent.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
