It Support Specialist
Job Title: IT Support Specialist Job Description As an IT Support Specialist, you will be a core member of our technical support team, responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our organization’s IT systems. Your role encompasses providing hands-on support to end-users, maintaining, and optimizing hardware and software environments, and actively contributing to the overall efficiency and security of our IT infrastructure. Responsibilities + Respond promptly to IT support tickets and calls, offering effective solutions to hardware and software issues. + Diagnose and troubleshoot issues using remote assistance tools or providing onsite support when necessary. + Escalate complex problems to engineers or management, maintaining clear communication throughout the resolution process. + Install, configure, and deploy computer systems, peripherals, and software applications. + Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patches. + Ensure routine backups are completed for desktops and laptops. + Replace equipment that has an expired warranty. + Assist in maintaining asset management and inventory. + Create and maintain detailed documentation for IT processes, configurations, and resolutions. + Keep documentation up to date with changes in system configurations and procedures. + Train end users on new devices and technologies. Required Skills + Minimum of 3+ years of direct, relevant experience in an IT support role. + Strong communication, customer service, and documentation skills. + Experience and knowledge in supporting Microsoft systems/devices, Apple devices, and laboratory devices/computers. + Experience with system remote management products, deployment tools, security suites, and ticketing systems. + Ability to execute incidents, requests, and projects from start to completion. + Detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven with the ability to track multiple incidents, requests, and projects simultaneously and prioritize accordingly. + Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work unsupervised. Work Environment Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm. Located in South San Francisco, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
