TEKsystems is hiring for an IT Support Specialist to provide level 1 & 2 support. This position is fully onsite in Elkhorn, WI. Description + Set up and install personal computers, printers, monitors, and other desktop or mobile computing equipment and software. + Participate in the Help Desk rotation, providing Tier 1 support for user inquiries and resolving technical issues. + Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment, software, and Desktop LAN problems to find effective solutions. + Resolve computing equipment and software issues for client desktops and laptops. + Assist with network and server maintenance in a multi-protocol environment, collaborating with IT Specialist II and the Network Operations team. + Perform preventative maintenance and general tasks to support the desktop environment. + Conduct intermediate equipment and software upgrades. + Manage equipment and software inventories and update relevant databases. Assist in maintaining site documentation. + Evaluate business problems and research new technology as directed by senior staff. Provide input on clients' equipment and software needs. + Troubleshoot telephone system issues, replace defective equipment, or report problems to the appropriate agency for repair. + Demonstrate a commitment to county safety and risk management efforts. + Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: + Associate’s degree in an Information Technology-related field with one to two years of relevant experience required + At least one year of experience with Microsoft operating systems and Intel-based hardware + Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment. + Strong interpersonal and customer support skills. + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
