IT Support Specialist
Job Description Provides technical assistance to computer users. Answers questions or resolves computer problems for clients in person, or via telephone or electronically. May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems. Project will involve upgrading approximately 145 laptops, 124 desktops, 603 monitors and 616 security keys over the 12 months.  Installation & Setup: o Deliver, unpack, and install monitors, keyboards, and other computer peripherals in various Qualcomm buildings. o Deploy newly configured laptops/desktops/monitors and security keys to Qualcomm employees and lab locations.  Material Management: o Dispose of packing materials in appropriate receptacles. o Assist in the pickup of unused/unneeded hardware from various Qualcomm buildings and return to stock.  Data Management: o Backup Qualcomms data using in-house tools. o Wipe computer hard drives using in-house tools.  System Imaging: o Image new systems for Qualcomms use.  Service Delivery and Reporting: o Manage time sensitive tasks of work assigned by leads o Provide documented detailed descriptions of work performed o Ensure timely updates upon completion of tasks o Lead from Insight Global to provide Qualcomm weekly status on completed transactions, monitor risks and issue resolutions PR 19-28 CAD We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
