Marmon Industrial Energy & Infrastructure (MIEI) – Mt. Pleasant, TX Is one of six specialty wire, cable, and tubing solution manufacturing companies located throughout North America. We have over 100 years of innovative engineered solutions for critical, industrial, and commercial applications.Responsible for understanding the Company’s manufacturing business systems and environment. Provide hardware/software support for all manufacturing systems. This position reports directly to the IT Manager – Industrial Group.
Essential Duties:
Responsible for maintaining and implementing network upgrades, telecommunications, locally supported applications, and personal computer strategy and promoting standardization at Mt. Pleasant, TX and Pearl, MS locations.Assist with Helpdesk support for all Marmon IEI sites.East Ganby, CTAttleboro, MAMt. Pleasant, TX - Primary SiteCape Coral, FLSeymour, CTPearl, MS – Occasional travel to support this site.Perform office & manufacturing PC and hardware installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs according to Marmon IEI standards.Provide first level support and training for Axiom ERP, and EZRF at locations supported. Collaborate with manufacturing to document, streamline, and improve existing and new processes that leverage our current Axiom ERP and EZRF platforms that are used to support the manufacturing of Marmon IEI products.Maintain current information and diagrams of manufacturing infrastructure.Provide documentation and training to office & manufacturing personnel on existing system functionality and newly developed enhancements.Provide support, upgrades, and maintenance to all Engineering Manufacturing Systems such as PC, barcode equipment, data collection equipment, quality control systems, video systems, etc.Develop and maintain close Manufacturing and IT relationships.Flexibility to provide remote or onsite support outside of normal business hours to resolve critical issues.Occasional travel will be required to offsite locations.These are the general duties required to fulfill the IT Support Technician job description, not a detailed description of all the work required. Education and Experience Preferred:
AS Degree in Computer Science or related field; alternatively, one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience: 1+ year’s business experience in manufacturing with computer systems (Servers, PC, Windows and LAN)Knowledge and Skills Preferred:
Experience in PC Technology, Windows OS and Networking Experience in active Directory, Networking, Citrix XenApp and application virtualizationExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent analytical, problem solving and time management skillsExperience in UNIX, Linux and Windows environments.Experience in installing and maintaining Microsoft and Linux Servers.Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:
Ability to work long hours in a sedentary position sitting, talking, looking at a computer, charts/graphs and performing repetitive motions.Ability to move objects and materials of at least 25lbs.Ability to collaborate with manufacturing team members as needed in an environment that can be noisy.Ability to follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE when onsite.Marmon Industrial Energy and Infrastructure Mt.
